Dave’s Insanity Scorpion – A fantastic natural sauce (no extract), one for the purist. As Dr Hotz describes: “Trinidad Scorpions and not much else”. Unadulterated flavours from the sweet and fiery Trinidad peppers, balanced seasoning and acidity, water to blend. A hot sauce style that doesn’t come much simpler or better in my book. If you’re curious about the heat, Dave’s suggests it sits above the original Insanity Sauce level, which seems about right; however, this is a much better table sauce. 5/5 for flavour. (Acknowledged that the Original Insanity Sauce was an accessible, extract based trailblazer for heat at a time when the current superhot chilli varieties didn’t exist, a piece of hot sauce legendary). I would also recommend these Hot Headz sauces for similar qualities: Trinidad Scorpion, Satan’s Revenge, Man The Fuck Up, Carolina Reaper, in that heat order. Each are slightly nuanced, tasty and great value for money. Treat yourself, buy them all: “Because you’re worth it!…”. Excellent communication, packaging and shipping from Hot-Headz as usual.
